Designer of the Morgan Lumbar Traction Harness
Dr. Dennis Morgan is a chiropractor and physical therapist in Novato, California, well-known to his colleagues as a teacher, author, and innovator of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise techniques and equipment for more than 40 years.
Dr. Morgan completed his physical therapy education at the University of California at San Francisco in 1975, his chiropractic training at Life West Chiropractic College in San Leandro California in 1981, and holds degrees in Physical Education and Health Science from California State University at Chico.
Dr. Morgan’s background in the “manual therapies” is extensive and includes proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) training program with Margaret Knott at Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center in Vallejo, California, and the Nordic Manual Therapy Program in Oslo Norway with Olaf Evjenth and Freddy Kaltenborn. He is a veteran lecturer and presenter of manual therapy courses for independent clinics, medical centers and residency programs, and has published technical articles on the treatment of low back patients. He was the translator and editor of the third and fourth editions of the classic clinical reference Manual Mobilization of the Extremity Joints by Professor Freddy Kaltenborn, and the owner of Marin Orthopedic Rehabilitation in Mill Valley, California, until his retirement in 2015.
