The medium Bambach saddle is about 13.5” wide at the widest point toward the back of the saddle, and about 11.5” wide at the most narrow point under the thighs. However, from a fitting perspective these dimensions are not terribly relevant because your buttocks and thighs should extend well beyond the saddle itself. A more important dimension from a fitting perspective is the distance between the nose (front pommel) and rear cantle. If the saddle is too short front-to-back, your privates will get squeezed. Not a nice thought. The Bambach saddle is 10” from the seat cup where your sit bones (i.e., ischial tuberosities) are cradled, to the highest point (pommel) at the front of the seat. If you need more room for your privates, get the next saddle size up.
